7 Poets and 7 Poetry Reading Contest was held in the Merzifon District of Amasya by our TÜGVA Amasya Provincial Representative Office and Amasya Provincial Directorate of National Education.

7 Poets and 7 Poetry Reading Contest organized by our TÜGVA Amasya Provincial Representative Office and Amasya Provincial Directorate of National Education was held at the Merzifon Science High School’s Conference Hall.
In this contest, which aimed to raise students who read, think, interpret and have a critical perspective, middle school students competed to read their poems in the best way possible.

Plaques Presented to the Highest Scoring Students

As a result of this contest, organized with the contributions of our Amasya Provincial Representative and attended by 17 secondary schools, Gülce Yaren Güler from Şehit Komiser Zeynep Sağır İmam Hatip Secondary School came first, Kübra Aslantaş from TOKİ Kara Mustafa Paşa Secondary School and Mustafa Yiğit from Namık Kemal Secondary School second and İsra Bozdağ from Vali Hüseyin Poroy Secondary School third.  Plaques and various gifts were given to the highest scoring students. In addition, all students who read poetry were presented with the certificate of participation.

We Strive in an Effort to Raise Individuals Who Make Reading a Lifestyle

Expressing his thoughts after the competition, Merzifon District National Education Director Ahmet Yozgat said: “We strive to raise individuals who evaluate the cultural heritage of our civilization, improve the vocabulary and existence of our language, make efforts, make reading a lifestyle, and establish new bonds with their friends on the cultural ground. I would like to thank all the students who participated and teachers who prepared them.
